The Programmable Portable Thermal Beacon is an extremely robust thermal marker beacon designed for hand held, tripod and vehicle mounted applications.

Transmitting in the 2 to 12 micrometre range it emits a string of intense narrow beam thermal pulses from the front facing emission window. The pulse string is fully programmable in terms of mark space ratio/duration and beam intensity. An unlimited range of covert encoded signals is thus possible.

Programming is performed over the standard two core cable using a simple interface unit.

This beacon is suited to signalling from personnel, vehicles, landing zones and many other applications.

Simple set up: Just connect to the power supply and its programmed string is repeatedly emitted.

The Portable Thermal Beacon is small, lightweight, waterproof and very robust making it suitable for all battlefield environments.

Beam format: Uni-directional narrow beam pulse string with programmable mark, space and intensity. The programmed string is automatically repeated.
Beam type: Thermal in the frequency range 2 to 12 micrometres.
Beam angle: 30 degrees (90% power emission zone).
Viewing range: 6.25 miles | 10 Km with suitable thermal imaging cameras.

Beacon construction: Fully machined aluminium anodised body and polycarbonate shroud. Fully waterproof with protection shield to the emission window.
Power supply: +/- 10 to 32 volts withstanding transients of +/- 200 volts. Nominally this is a standard 12/24 volt vehicle supply or portable battery. <10 watts total power consumption.
Power feed: Tough 2 core 2 metre long cable.

Shipping Policy

If you select a shipping option during checkout that does not include tracking you accept complete responsibility for the shipment. Cejay Engineering will not be responsible for items lost in transit if a non-tracked shipping method is used.

Orders placed within North America are shipped UPS from our Florida distribution center within 2 Business Days of receiving the order. In the event that UPS does not deliver to the shipping address (APO/FPO), orders will be shipped via US Mail.

International orders or orders requiring express shipping should be faxed to: + 1 + 603+880+8502. Faxed orders must include the product(s) being ordered, shipping address including phone and email, credit card number, expiration date, name on card, CSV code and billing address. Shipping will be calculated based on actual UPS charges to your shipping address from our Florida distribution center. If you would prefer shipping via US mail, please indicate so when ordering. All taxes, and duties are the responsibility of the receiver.
